Selma Lazrak
A designer in search of multiple identities, from Morocco to Munich.
Selma Lazrak, the embodiment of the new wave in design and furniture, is rapidly making a name for herself on a scene where creativity is always on the move, but where a timeless aesthetic is also essential. Her furniture collections, the latest of which is called ‘Sahara’, embrace fusions and the intermingling of inspirations from Morocco, the country where she was born and raised, while drawing on the desert, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. After several years living and designing all around the Mediterranean, from the south of France to the Turkish coast, Selma has been based in Munich, Germany, since 2018. Her creations explore the links between design, identity and territory. In 2023, she became an associate member of the World Design Organization (WDO). And in 2024, Selma Lazrak was invited to the prestigious Salone del Mobile in Milan, one of the industry's essential global showcases.
