Sana Afouaiz

To convert her activism into concrete action, Sana Afouaiz founded the Womenpreneur Initiative in 2016, a borderless organisation dedicated to empowering women in entrepreneurship and technology that now has over 20,000 members. As a consultant to the UN and the European Commission, she contributes to resolutions on gender equality. In 2021, she launched Women Quake, an international movement aimed at deconstructing stereotypes. Author of Invisible Women of the Middle East, she conducts impact campaigns, including one to reform Moroccan rape laws. Her activism has earned her a place among the World Bank's Ten Most Influential Women and the Ashoka Changemaker Award.
