Mo Abudu is a media icon who has reinvented African storytelling. After a 20-year career at ExxonMobil, she launched her TV production company in 2009 with the show Moments with Mo. In 2013, she launched EbonyLife TV, a channel that has become a household name, broadcasting in 49 countries across Africa, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean. However, Mo Abudu doesn't just produce content, she also builds bridges with major international players. In just a few years, she has secured partnerships with Sony Pictures, AMC Networks and Netflix, a first for an African company. A seasoned businesswoman and tireless creator, she continues to expand her empire. She was born in London in 1964, sent to Nigeria as a child, and returned to the United Kingdom before making her mark in Lagos: a diverse journey, much like her work. Her goal? To offer an authentic and powerful image that is both rooted in Africa and resolutely global.
