She is a key player in one of the most strategic industries of our time. With a master's degree in economics and global development from the University of Copenhagen, this young Kenyan joined Nvidia, the American artificial intelligence giant and superchip manufacturer, in 2021. At the end of February, the company announced quarterly profits of more than $22 billion. Fatima Tambajang's mission is to innovate alongside start-ups and developers in Africa and the Middle East. She manages the Nvidia Inception programme in this region, which provides free support to young companies to help them access cutting-edge technologies. In September last year, Nvidia Deep Learning Institute (DLI) opened an innovation hub in Sousse, Tunisia, to train 100,000 developers on the continent over three years. This achievement earned her a place among the 100 most influential people in Africa in 2024, according to New African magazine.
